This album is a journey, this is the beginning. The beat sounds like potential theme music for the Lord of the Rings, at least in my ears, and that's what attracted me to it. It was quirky and cinematic, and being this album is a quest for the soul, it seemed fitting.

The title came from the oddball ending. That "hmmm" and keyboard clacking is my exact response after I recorded the first vocal take, because I wasn't sure it was going to work, but found that I might be onto something...strange but intriguing, or so was the goal.

Side note: In the shout outs, when I mention The Coup, it's largely because I was curious how Boots Riley would sound rhyming to this, or what he would do if he looped it. I'm a huge fan of Boots Riley as a writter, rapper, and producer.
